We have a rare opportunity for an Estimator Trainee to join our Sales Team.

This role is to generate quotations against customer requests and to liaise with the customer and/or TVC Sales and engineering staff as necessary through to receipt of order.

This a full-time position of 39 hours and encompasses the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Take customer “Request for Quotation” (RFQ) and complete quotations based on deadlines using a variety of system pricing tools.
  • Liaise with customers, as well as internal departments such as engineering, sales and customer service staff to resolve any queries/issues and amendments.
  • Acknowledging orders when received and liaising with engineering/vetting to confirm.
  • Control records for all enquiries quoted by Flint or remote sales offices.
  • Maintain list of estimating software upgrades / requirements.
  • Use of Microsoft Office tools to administer documents in a professional manner. *Other duties may be assigned as the successful candidate develops into the role.

Qualifications

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts utilising discounts, percentages, using internal systems/tools and Excel.
  • Ability to manage personal and department workloads.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems in a logical and methodical manner.
  • Good communication skills (written/Oral) internally and externally with customers.
  • Reporting.

The candidate should be:

  • Self-driven and highly motivated with the ability to feel comfortable to work alone as well as within a team/office environment.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
  • Focused with attention to detail.

This is an office-based role with possible Hybrid option after completing probation.

Package

  • Normal working hours are 0800 to 1700 Monday to Thursday and 0800 to 1600 on Fridays
